Hosanna Church Summer Job Positions: Summer of 2021
We are a small community church in the district of St. Michel. We actively serve
our community, meeting the needs of families through our various projects and
initiatives.

We are currently hiring for the following temporary positions over an 8
week Summer period, beginning the week of June 27th and running through until
August 21st.

Position 1: Team Leader
Hiring: 1
The team leader’s primary role will be to supervise and coordinate the group hired
for this summer job program and execute any tasks assigned by the managing
board member/supervisor.
Tasks will involve
– Community project planning and organizing.
– Provide care for families.
– Daily maintenance and cleaning tasks.
– Spring cleaning tasks.
The team leader is also expected to help with the tasks assigned to the other
workers.

Specific community project involvement:
– Back to School campaign: preparation for mid-August distribution of backpacks
and school supplies.
– Operation Christmas Child: preparation for Samaritan’s Purse shoebox program
ending in October.
– Christmas food basket distribution preparation for mid-December.

Position 2: Community projects worker
Hiring: 2
Help with the coordinating and organization of our
– Back to School Backpack distribution project.
– Help replenish and run the food bank.
– Social media knowledge and ability to solicit partners will be an enormous asset.
– Offer care to families.
– Some custodial work will also be required.

Position 3: Maintenance and Custodial Work
Hiring: 2
The work will include
– seasonal Spring cleaning tasks.
– Weekly custodial work such as emptying trash cans, sweeping, mopping,
cleaning washrooms, vacuuming and outdoor cleaning.
– Maintenance tasks may be required such as painting and repairs.
– Subsequent participation will be required in community projects such as the Back
to School Backpack Distribution, the food bank and Food Basket Distribution as
well as the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes.

Candidate prerequisites:

• Fluent in English and French (third language is an asset but not required)
• Been in school full time this past year and returning full time in the Fall
•18 years and older
• Strong work ethic
•Ability to work autonomously
• Computer savvy is an asset
• Strong communication skills
• Comfortable navigating social media
